Delaware: House Bill 333 advances out of committee

18 May 2012

DELAWARE -- House Bill 333 yesterday advanced out of the House Gaming and Parimutuels Committee, the News Journal reported.

The bill, which would legalize online gaming and allow for expanded gambling in pubs and restaurants, will now be debated on the House floor, the report explained.

The brains behind House Bill 333 is Gov. Jack Markell and is intended to assist state casinos who are struggling with competition from neighbouring states, the News Journal said.
