Crown Casino shaft intruder charged

MELBOURNE, Australia -- A 25-year-old man who had to be rescued from a Crown Casino ventilation shaft last week has been charged with criminal damage, The Age reported.

Police questioned the individual and subsequently laid charges of trespass and criminal damage and then released him on bail, the report explained.

The man, who emerged covered in grease, was discovered when staff heard him shouting from the shaft near a pizza oven, The Age reported.
