Gaming NewsCritics Pan Racino Age Limit27 July 2005PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, Canada -- As reported by the CBC News: "You'll have to be 19 to bet at the new racino at the Charlottetown Driving Park, but critics see the increased age limit as doing little to stop addictive gambling. "'One responsible gaming feature at the driving park that we're really proud of is the age of majority measures that we're taking,' says Scott Costen, a responsible gaming specialist for Atlantic Lottery Corporation, which will run the new racino. "But ALC admits the change in age is also about convenience. Currently, a customer must be 16 to bet on the races, 18 to buy a lottery ticket and 19 to play video lottery terminals (VLTs).
