Coventry Bid Snubbed

COVENTRY, England – As reported by icCoventry: "Coventry's campaign to get back in the running for Britain's first supercasino has suffered a major blow.

"Politicians from the city have been lobbying to get it back on the shortlist vying to host the only pilot super-casino in the UK.

"But last night regional development agency Advantage West Midlands snubbed Coventry and backed a rival bid for a glitzy supercasino at the National Exhibition Centre.

"…Coventry cabinet member for regeneration Dave Arrowsmith said today: 'We are very disappointed and surprised that, at this very late stage, Advantage West Midlands has decided to support a proposal for the NEC site, which may or may not happen.'…"
