Court rules casino wagering not tax deductible

8 February 2012

TORONTO, Ontario -- A court ruled yesterday that casino losses cannot be written off as a tax deduction, QMI reported.

The case concerned a casino high roller who claimed gambling was his full time job and therefore his wagering was a legitimate business expense, the report explained.

The gambler Guiseppe Tarascio plans to continue his fight in the courts, according to QMI.
