Council of European Union to work as one on gambling

ENGLAND AND IRELAND -- Ireland is to introduce a 1 percent betting tax on all winning bets, which will be reinvested into the sport, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.

Concurrently last week the Council of the European Union announced their framework for gambling across all 27 member states, the same Telegraph report said.

The Council of the European Union will work as one, preventing companies shifting country to avoid paying taxes and levies, the report explained.
