Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Caesars Atlantic City

30 April 2012

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Tequila! Cinco de Mayo, arguably one of the most fun holidays in May, is not going unnoticed this year in Atlantic City, and partiers are encouraged to come join the fun. Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s and Showboat Atlantic City will all celebrate with music, food and drink worthy of the holiday.

Harrah’s Resort, home to Dos Caminos, the premier Mexican restaurant in town, is kicking off the weekend with Friday night parties at Xhibition Bar and Eden Lounge. Pre-gamers can enjoy $5 Corona bottles, $6 Patron Silver Shots and music by Vida Ventura & Freezie.

On Cinco de Mayo Saturday, the party at Harrah’s Resort hits full swing with $8 watermelon margaritas, $8 Anejo Sauza Conmemorativo shots and special appetizers like habernero wings and chicken and chorizo nachos at Dos Caminos. Sammy D’s and Bill’s Bar and Burger are joining the fun with $5 margaritas for diners.

Guests at Eden Lounge can enjoy complimentary chips and salsa with their Patron perfect margaritas and party favors like sombreros, maracas and moustaches to create their own mariachi. Partiers looking to dance the night away can head to the Pool After Dark for a night hosted by the one and only Playboy model and reality TV star, Holly Madison.

To show that even surfers respect holidays, Worship Surf Bar at Showboat is offering Cinco de Mayo flavor with five days of celebratory specials. From May 1st to 5th, guests at Worship Surf Bar will enjoy $1 tacos, $10 Corona buckets, $5 Avion tequila shots and $5 Avion margaritas.

Bally’s Atlantic City is celebrating with $5 margaritas at Mountain Bar. The Reserve at Bally’s is getting into the spirit with blackened salmon tacos at Preview Bar with pineapple and jicama salsa and chipotle remoulade for $12; a barbeque chicken flatbread with chicken braised in Dos Equis Lager and guajillo peppers, refried beans, Mexican crema and shaved chilies for $15; and cilantro and lime butter-seared mahi mahi with Mexican corn esquites and huitlacoche sauce topped with rock shrimp ceviche for $38 at The Reserve.

No matter what your Cinco-style is, there is something for everyone at Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s and Showboat this year.
