Casino staff raise funds, volunteer time for needy

WINDSOR, Ontario -- As reported by the Windsor Star: "Casino Windsor's 3,000 employees have been very generous this season, raising funds and donating their time to those less fortunate.

"The casino sponsored the Transportation department Christmas Family Sponsorship in which they adopted a family with five children for the holidays through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Employees raised more than $700 and donated clothing, toys and household goods to the family.

"...More than $2,600 was raised at the fourth annual musical charity jam, Sessions, A Benefit for Hiatus House.

"...More than 950 people were a served a hot turkey dinner at the annual Salvation Army Christmas dinner..."
