Casino deadline expires with no nibbles

GALENA, Kansas — Another deadline passed with no applicant for the state-owned casino, the Joplin Globe reported.

In November the Kansas Lottery rejected Ozark Trail Gaming's application, the Joplin Globe report said.

The minimum investment the state requires is $225 million and a $25 million privilege fee, the Joplin Globe said.
