Canadian pushes to bring Baltimore casino

BALTIMORE -- Michael Moldenhauer, a Canadian homebuilder, shall attempt again to realize his hopes for a downtown Baltimore casino, The Daily Record reported.

Last year Moldenhauer's attempt was thwarted and he hopes the decision will be overturned, the report said.

The state cited missed deadlines and inability to come up with licence fees by Moldenhauer's Baltimore City Entertainment Group, according to The Daily Record.

Once the appeal hearings end this Tuesday, a decision will be issued within 90 days, The Daily Record reported.

The casino could, if authorized, be the state's second largest, the report noted.
