British law to target possible London 2012 corruption

17 August 2011

LONDON, England -- The British government is trying to get ahead of any possible corruption at next year's 2012 Olympic Games, The Guardian reported.

A law will be introduced to facilitate information sharing between the IOC and the police, the report said.

There is concern that match-fixing and other corruption could potentially taint the London Games if precautions are not taken, The Guardian said.

The changes to the law will be announced sometime today in London, The Guardian noted.
