British government not willing to "grade" gambling

LONDON, England -- The British government said yesterday in a house debate it will not be "grading" gambling, according to The Guardian newspaper.

In their Yesterday in Parliament column The Guardian noted the issue revolves around the bingo industry, considered an innocent form of gambling, yet subjected to identical tax rate increases to 22%.

Bingo is a widespread past time in England.
