DUBLIN, Ireland -- Paddy Power's recent deal with French Tote suggests the future may look virtual, according to a report in yesterday's Sunday Independent.

The deal announced last Thursday saw Paddy Power joining up next year with French online betting service PMU to provide services, the Sunday Independent reported.

The speculated shift in focus from high street shops to online may be influenced by its online operations significant contribution to turnover. Online operations are more profitable, the report noted.
