BLACKPOOL, England -- As reported by This is Lancanshire: "Blackpool's super-casino dream could be realised, if rumours of a Government turnaround are confirmed.

"Rumours persist that the Government could be set to draw up plans that will see super-casino licenses handed to Manchester and Blackpool.

"Outgoing Prime Minister Tony Blair raised the resort's hopes last week, after saying he believed the town should get a super-casino, as well as Manchester, if the investment was available.

"Reports in this week's national newspapers suggested Government insiders had said that plans for two super-casinos would be drawn up within weeks..."
