Bingo in decline, two clubs a month close

ENGLAND -- Britain's once popular past time bingo is facing decline as two bingo halls a month close, The Daily Mirror reported.

The decline began after a smoking ban was introduced in 2007, the report said.

Fruit machine revenue inside bingo halls has also fallen following changes to smoking rules where punters must smoke outside, previously they would play fruit machines between bingo games, The Daily Mirror reported.
