Arizona Casino Not Worried about Buyout Bid

ARIZONA – As reported by the Arizona Republic: "A takeover of Harrah's Entertainment Inc. would mean, at most, a change in management for the company's Ak-Chin Casino Resort south of Phoenix.

"The Ak-Chin Indian Community owns the hotel and casino, which opened 12 years ago near Maricopa.

"Harrah's has a contract to operate the business, and its well-known name is on the sign.

"…The Ak-Chin casino would continue either way, tribal Vice President Maria Hernandez said…"
