April giveaways at Hard Rock Casino in Lake Tahoe

(PRESS RELEASE) -- It’s last call for spring skiing with South Shore resorts closing for the season – Sierra-at-Tahoe on 14 April, Kirkwood 21 April, and Heavenly 27 May (Friday – Sunday skiing available 26-28 April; 3-5 May; 10-12 May; 17-19 May; 24-27 May). That’s not slowing down Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Lake Tahoe as the property heralds in the new season with April giveaways, promos and dining specials that will have guests ready for warmer adventures.

The Summit Up Nicely Gift Giveaway, 15-21 April, includes essential hiking accessories up for grabs, including a Camelbak backpack and a stainless steel canteen water bottle. Backstage Pass holders earn 2,000 base gaming points during this time period. Points can then be used to redeem gifts 19-21 April from 4 – 6 p.m.

Unwind and jam out after a day of riding at nearby Heavenly Mountain Resort with Après Ski Live Music at Alpine Union every Sunday through 23 April from 3 – 6 p.m.

Dining Specials

On Good Friday enjoy special menus at Alpine Union and Park Prime 19 April. Park Prime hosts a three-course meal of lobster bisque or Caesar salad, followed by a choice of seared salmon or ahi tuna, both served with coconut rice and wonton salad, then a chef’s dessert. This meal is available for $60 per person starting at 5 p.m. A more casual setting awaits with a three-course meal at Alpine Union includes clam chowder or salad, lemon sole with pistachio pesto sauce and a choice of dessert, $32.99 per person starting at 5 p.m.

Foodies can continue a culinary adventure through Easter Sunday with more special menus at Alpine Union and Park Prime. Park Prime’s lavish Easter menu includes an Asian pear, bleu cheese and mixed greens salad with champagne vinaigrette or carrot ginger bisque garnished with crème fraiche; a main course of 20-ounce T-bone steak, a crab stuffed baked halibut or wild boar in peach prosecco glaze; a dessert of mango bread budding accompanied by vanilla bean ice cream or a warm chocolate lava cake with ice cream for $75 per person.

For Easter, Alpine Union will offer choices of a house salad or curried carrot soup, herb roasted prime rib, baked turkey breast or pork osso Bucco all served with green bean casserole and scallop potatoes, followed by a dessert of a salted caramel cream puff or crème brûlée cheesecake, $35 per person.

The Park Prime Prix Fixe includes three courses for $60 per person and wine pairings for each course for just $20. Available 5 – 6 p.m., Sunday – Thursday in April.

Après Ski Features include a choice of Alpine Daly – Union Tai or Killebrew Press for $5 and $8 select shot and draft specials at Alpine Union, as well as $5 select ski shot features at Center Bar, Monday – Friday from 4 – 6 p.m. through 23 April.

Alpine Union Breakfast offers a choice of short stack or eggs with bacon, hash browns and toast for $6.99, 7 – 11 a.m., Monday – Friday. The Choice Prime Rib Special includes $19.99 prime rib with potatoes or vegetables daily at 1 p.m., but hurry, as limited servings of the popular meal are in high demand.

Perk up with a special at Fuel, the on-site coffee shop, for 50 percent off a coffee with the purchase of a sandwich or salad all day.

Gaming Promotions

Expect April showers – cash showers, to be exact – this month with the $20K April Showers of Cash Slot Tournament, 27 April from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Early registration is 26 April, 6 – 8 p.m. with a $50 buy-in that includes a welcome gift and food. The winner takes home $10,000 in cash and free play.

Easter Sunday Jammin’ Jukebox Kiosk Game offers a chance to win up to $500 instantly, 21 April. Backstage Pass holders earn 300 base points when playing.

Hard Rock will be the first property in Northern Nevada to add the James Bond - Diamonds are Forever slot game to its casino floor. Become 007 in this action-packed stepper slot game and search for diamonds on the reels for jackpots and experience scenes from the movie of the same name. Iconic callbacks include the Q Bonus and the Shaken, Not Stirred Bonus.

Players with musical trivia acumen can win $200,000 in cash through 27 April. It’s My Jam! Musical Game includes drawings every Tuesday and Saturday, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. with five winners chosen at each selection. A grand finale will be held 27 April at 5 p.m. to win $400,000.

Tahoe will be feeling a bit country with Blake Shelton Video Slots, a 40 pay-line game that offers a chance to win a guitar autographed by Blake Shelton. Players can compete with bonus offers to win a jackpot amount in addition to the signed guitar. This will be available for a limited time on the casino floor and will be the only casino in the Lake Tahoe Basin with such a game.
