Terms of the deal were not announced. American Casino & Entertainment Properties said it plans to launch a play-for-free poker site by the end of the year, which would evolve into a real-money poker site operated within Nevada's boundaries. Besides the Stratosphere, the company operates the two Arizona Charlie's casinos and the Aquarius in Laughlin. The Nevada Gaming Commission granted American Casino & Entertainment Properties an interactive gaming license last week, but the technology for the system still needs to be approved. Nevada regulations were passed this year allowing for the operation of real-money Internet poker sites to be run by licensed casino operators. The sites can accept wagers only from customers on computers or mobile devices located within Nevada's borders.
