LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- MGM Resorts International Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Murren led a delegation of consultations, designers and construction teams to Vietnam recently to visit the site of the future MGM Grand Ho Tram.

The planned project, scheduled to open in 2013, is part of a $4.2 billion development near Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon.

"Vietnam is an integral part of our strategic plans for ambitious developments in Asia," Murren said.

MGM Resorts has several nongaming luxury hotel projects in development in parts of Asia and the Middle East using the company's brands, including Bellagio and MGM Grand.
